MSL seals partnership with Rustan Supercenters

MANILA, Philippines — MSL, the shipping and logistics group of the Magsaysay conglomerate, formalizes its logistics operations and warehousing partnership with Rustan Supercenters, Inc. (RSCI) through a contract signing last 10 November 2017 at the MSL Logistics Hub in Taguig.

RSCI is known for its chain of high quality hypermarkets such as Rustan’s Market Place and Shopwise. It was recently joined by Dairy Farm, a leading Pan-Asian multi-format retailer that is a part of the Jardine Matheson Group. Dairy Farm operates over 6,500 ranging from supermarkets, health and beauty stores, convenience stores, home furnishings, and restaurants across Asia.

Anchored on knowledge-sharing for efficiency improvement, we are confident that our logistics operations will be handled by a reliable partner that MSL is,” says Christine Pardinas, Vice President for Supply Chain of RSCI.

Aside from the logistics and warehousing operations, RSCI also has a dedicated office inside the MSL Logistics Hub.

MSL innovates further its business in order to provide a more world-class facility for its clients. Its new cold storage facility built to bring frozen, chilled and fresh products to the market. It uses a double deep racking system to maximize the floor space while maintaining the temperature requirements per stored product.  The facility has 10,670 pallet positions, with 11 inbound and 10 outbound loading docks to complement the efficiency and safety operations.

MSL’s COO for warehousing, Jerry Jara shares that “with the trust that RSCI is giving us, we at MSL are even more inspired to be better in our operations and provide them business solutions that will enable their vision for the farm-to-fork projects among others.”
